Obaa Yaa Afrifa Funeral Brochure

FROM DAADA YAOVI’S CHILDREN Our journey with Auntie Obaa Yaa began in Akim Oda. When Obaa Yaa came to take her mother (Nana) to America, she insisted we stay to look after her cloth business. This transition relocated us to Asafo, marking the beginning of a life shaped by her family’s guidance. AuntieObaaYaa’sgenerosityknewnoborders. Throughout our lives, she remained a constant source of support whenever we needed it. I remember when Epe and I used to visit her she always welcomed us with open arms, treating us exactly as if we were her own children. Whenever she returned from the United States, she arrived with gifts that made us feel special. My personal favorite was the school bags and shoes that we cherished. Auntie Obaa Yaa had a deep desire to see us succeed, even attempting to bring our elder sister to America. Though circumstances prevented it at the time, her heart was always set on elevating our lives. Perhaps the greatest testament to her character was her selflessness. Even while battling her own illness, she took my twin sister, Apaning, with her to the U.S. to help with her care. When death touched my house and I lost my husband, Auntie Obaa Yaa did not let her own failing health stop her from reaching out. She sympathized with me deeply, offering comfort even while she herself was in pain. That is the kind of woman she was always putting the needs of others above her own. Auntie, we appreciate everything you did for us. You were kind, you were caring, and you were a pillar of strength for the Yaovi family. May your soul rest in perfect peace. You have finished your race, and you have entered into your rest. Xedenyuie Farewell, Auntie Obaa Yaa! You will be forever missed. TRIBUTE W 46 A Loving Farewell 1934 MRS. OBAA YAA AFRIFA 2025
