HER STORY

Her father was a farmer and her mother a cloth trader and devout Christian. She attended Asafo Methodist School and later schooled in the Volta Region before training as a teacher at St. Monica's College (1954–1956) and Wesley College in Kumasi. She went on to teach in Odumasi, Eastern Region, and eventually settled in Kaneshie, Accra.
